VOICE OF GLADNESS A Cantata appropriate at any time of year, it powerfully testifies of the divine nature of our Savior, Jesus Christ, His mission, the reason we need Him, and how we can secure true joy in this life and the next. The cantata is especially suited for the Easter season.
Voice of Gladness is scored for mixed choir, four soloists, chamber orchestra, two narrators and optional projected video segments.
Though not essential to the performance, the suggested video segments dramatically enhance the music presentation.
THREE SONGS OF JOY Many of the most inspiring and uplifting, passages of holy scripture appear in the Book of Isaiah. When set to beautiful music, Isaiah's messages can fill both listeners and singers with hope and awe.
This work is excellent for any choral concert with strong singers and more advanced church choirs. Pitches are within normal ranges for experienced, non-professional choral groups. Moderately advance skills are required of accompanying pianists. Directors may choose to present the songs separately or as a complete work. Together they create a powerful and joyful message lasting altogether approximately 12 minutes.

Featuring sacred choral and other works by Dean Hamill
"For my soul delighteth in the song of the heart; yea, the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads." Doctrine and Covenants 25:12
I cannot remember a time in my life when I haven't enjoyed and been influenced by music. Anthems and hymns of praise to our Creator are especially dear to me. Beautiful compositions with sacred texts help me center my attention on my Savior. The Apostle Paul wrote, "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;" Ephesians 5:19-20. I hope that the compositions included here will make "melody in your heart to the Lord." Perhaps they will bring you closer to the Master. What greater purpose can music have than to edify, uplift and cause one to appreciate the love our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have for them?
